It is located100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the GrandCanyon.Description:Tuesday – Saturday; 0700-1530The Grounds Keeper supports Facilities Management Department byperforming grounds and landscape maintenance, renovations oflandscape, irrigation systems and hardscape, turf management,irrigation installations and repairs to existing irrigation,clearing and maintaining drainage systems, roads & parkinglots, fencing, picking up litter and debris, planting, cultivating,irrigating and pruning a variety of types of trees, shrubs, groundcover, flowers and grasses.Includes the use and proper operation of electrically-powered andgasoline-powered grounds keeping equipment and machines, and theuse of small hand and power tools or equipment. Holding or beingable to acquire State of Arizona Applicator License for applyingherbicides is required.ERAU benefits include: QualificationsArizona Department of Agriculture Office of Pest ManagementHerbicide Applicator’s License (or the ability to obtain suchlicense within the first 90 days of employment.At least three years of commercial grounds maintenance andlandscaping experience.Valid Arizona Driver’s License and clean MVD driving recordupon employment.At least two years of licensed experience driving manual shifttype vehicles and equipment.Ability to operate campus vehicles, equipment, machinery,trucks, tractors and mowers in a safe, responsible manner.Hold State of AZ license or the ability to pass the staterequired spray license examination within 90 days ofemployment.Ability to read labels and directions for combiningmixtures.Ability to calculate mixtures using mathematics.Ability to write for managing daily work orders and recordingdata related to herbicide application.Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides and herbicides used ingrounds care and gardening.
