Swimming pool windows add a unique touch to outdoor lifestyle

Photo: Paul Smith PhotographyA range of pool windows is available including free top-edge windows and infinity-edge windows, corner windows and portholes.Mr Fogarty said pool windows were popular in highrise builds on the Gold Coast and throughout Brisbane. He said modern minimalistic-style homes or apartments often included pool windows as well as older style homes. “Swimmers can wave hello as they swim past and the calming blue water becomes more visible as it’s brilliantly exposed through the opening,” he said.“Some people have chosen to add them to bring light into lower levels of homes where the pool wall forms part of this area. We’ve also received feedback from some home owners who have found it can provide an extra level of safety for supervising children, as they can now ‘see through’ to lower areas of the pool to make sure kids are behaving and all is well.” More from newsParks and wildlife the new lust-haves post coronavirus14 hours agoNoosa’s best beachfront penthouse is about to hit the market14 hours ago Pictured is a pool at Virginia which Pool Windows created. Lakers’ Magic Johnson tells Jordan Clarkson to aim for Sixth Man of the Year

first_img South Bay bankruptcies Mexico cuts daily dollar sale as peso stabilizes “The big thing about that is if we ain’t winning, I ain’t gonna be no Sixth Man of the Year,” Clarkson said. “All that kind of comes to fruition. If I’m playing good off the bench, it’s going to help us win games. That’s the big thing.”The last Laker to win Sixth Man of the Year was Lamar Odom in 2011.The Lakers finished 26-56 in Coach Luke Walton’s first season at the helm.  It was their highest win total in three years. Williams was considered a frontrunner for the league’s top reserve award but ultimately finished third in the voting after the trade to Houston, where eventual winner Eric Gordon was already thriving off the bench. Is it Clarkson’s turn?“He has the talent to be in that conversation,” Walton said.Clarkson adhered to a set of development goals the coaching staff set for him over the summer, Walton said, and has “come back stronger” from last season.“Right now we’re just focused on him with all the other guys building those habits and turning those into the way we play and the identity of the team we are,” Walton said. “As far as goals are set, we don’t have any for him right now other than just continuing to do what he’s doing.”PLAY TIMEAfter tightly controlling the reins for the first three practices of the season, by Wednesday evening Walton was ready to set his team free with the first scrimmage of training camp.“Tonight’s going to be fun,” Walton said, following a morning practice that he said had been about 40 percent defense. The focus was virtually entirely on defense on Tuesday morning, with conditioning in the evening. Put another way: Walton’s players have paid their dues and can finally play some basketball.“I’m sure they’re dying,” he said. “It’s been a day and a half now and we haven’t scrimmaged once yet, so they’re probably pretty excited to play.” EL SEGUNDO — Like most of the young Lakers, Jordan Clarkson spent his summer at the team’s practice facility, packing muscle onto his frame, working on ball-handling and balance and becoming a better shooter. All along, Magic Johnson was in his ear, telling Clarkson that he believed he was capable of earning some significant recognition.“I told him that he should be a Sixth Man of the Year candidate,” Johnson said earlier this week, adding that Clarkson coming off the bench is “the key for us.”Related Articles Over the summer, the Lakers experienced an influx of talent at the guard spots, drafting Lonzo Ball to direct the offense and spending $18 million on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. That pair will replace D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young as the starting backcourt, leaving Clarkson, 25, as the third guard. Although he and Julius Randle were both drafted in 2014, Randle missed virtually all of his rookie season with a broken leg, making Clarkson, in a sense, the team’s senior member.Clarkson said his job is simply to “just come in and impact the game.” Coming off the bench is not new to Clarkson, who played in all 82 games last season but started only 19.After hearing Johnson’s vision for him was as a super-sub, Clarkson said, “It really wasn’t nothing new for me.”Last season, Clarkson averaged 14.7 points per game while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, teaming with former Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams to lead the league’s highest-scoring bench. There should be even more room for Clarkson to operate, with Williams now playing for the Clippers after being traded from the Lakers to Houston in February. The deal was Johnson’s first act as president of basketball operations.Clarkson said Wednesday he appreciates Johnson pushing him toward the award, but the team’s success will determine any personal accolades.
